Classic Cheese Burger

226g pack Garden Gourmet Sensational Burger
2 slices (blue) cheese or vegan cheese alternative
1 small onion, sliced
1 large vine tomato, sliced
1 corn on the cob, cut in half
2 seeded burger buns
large handful (approx 60g) shredded iceberg lettuce
1 tsp olive oil
1 gherkin

Cook the burgers according to the pack instructions - making sure they're piping hot throughout.

While the burgers are cooking, heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the onions until caramelized (about 5-10 minutes over a low heat).

Just before the end of the burger cooking time place a cheese slice on top of each and allow the remaining heat to melt the cheese.

Place the corn on the cob in a pan of simmering water for 5-8 minutes, drain.

Heat a griddle pan or frying pan to very hot, spray a little bit of oil onto the corn and char for a minute and turn frequently.

Stack the burgers! Cut the buns in half. Place one half of the buns onto the plates and top with lettuce, and tomato. Place the cheesy burger on top and add the crispy onions. Sandwich with the other half of burger bun. Serve with the charred corn. TIP: Try adding sliced gherkins to this recipe or try some griddled courgette or aubergines.
